The Monks' Debate.
Monks in the Tsuglhakhang Complex debating amongst themselves on philosophical topics, a practice in accordance to the teachings of the Buddha. This practice of debates deepens the understanding and sharpens the minds of the monks, bringing about the development of the mind.
Involving two parties, Damchawa (defender) and Riklampa (challenger), the challenger is responsible in their questions he or she puts forth, to oblige the defender to contradict either previous statements or common sense. The defender is responsible and accountable to put forth a true thesis and defend it.
